Mutawintji (NSW)

Mutawintji National Park, located in northeastern New South Wales, is celebrated for its profound cultural and historical importance, alongside its captivating desert vistas and indigenous heritage. In recent events, the park's custodians organised a commemorative celebration, marking 40 years since the significant land handback, Charles F. Sams III, the director of the U.S. Park Service, visited the park to explore co-management strategies, and this year, a Corroboree took place in the park, echoing the last traditional gathering held on the site a century ago.
