Otis Filley acknowledges First Australians and recognises their continuous connection to Country, community and culture. He pays his respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their Elders, past and present, as the custodians of the world’s oldest continuous living culture.

Youth Ideas Lab

ABC Heywire is a program that highlights the perspectives of young people in rural and regional areas of Australia. It encourages these young Australians to share their stories and ideas for making positive changes. Otis collaborated with the ABC team and students of Broken Hill High School to produce films for the 2021 Heywire event, which was exclusively held in Broken Hill.
